Calaverita
A calavera is a little rhymed epitaph for someone who is very much alive: Death comes for your coworker, your tío or your roommate, and their own quirks are what get them carried off - or let them slip away. Give the quirks (and your draft, if you have one). Each line hangs below as a paper flag with its syllables and rhyme, free. Then get it written or tuned, with a close reading of why it lands.
1 Who Death is coming for
2 Your draft (optional)
3 The page's read
Rules, in order: no draft is fresh; a jab at looks, health, a loss or money is soften; under four lines, no rhyme at all or no Death is rewrite; a stanza with no rhyme or a line 3+ syllables off is tune; otherwise keep. Syllables and rhymes are counted by rule of thumb - estimates, not a scansion.
